Founded in 1981 by Gerdur Kristjansdottir, Icelandic Design offers beautifully hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind knitwear for women. Icelandic Design draws inspiration for its designs from spectacular landscapes, decorative arts, and the heritage of European textiles. Since its establishment in North America over thirty years ago, Icelandic Design has attracted a loyal following of women to whom artistry in knitwear is essential. Today, thousands of women look forward to viewing the new Icelandic Design Collections as they unfold each season.
